THE PROBLEM
As AI tools like ChatGPT became standard in enterprise workflows, security and compliance teams faced a new threat — employees unknowingly pasting sensitive PII directly into AI prompts. Customer data, financial records, health information, and internal credentials were all at risk. Existing DLP tools weren't built for AI.
THE SOLUTION
We built PIIShield — a Chrome extension that sits silently in the browser and intercepts PII in real time before it reaches any AI tool. It detects names, emails, phone numbers, financial data, health identifiers, and custom-defined sensitive patterns — blocking transmission and alerting the user instantly.
